Below are some of our Frequently Asked Questions about Grizzly Orientation. If you still have questions, then please click "Send A Message" in the menu bar.

Is attendance for Grizzly Orientation mandatory?

Grizzly orientation is mandatory for all new incoming students. If you have any questions or concerns regarding attending an orientation session please email grizzlyorientation@ggc.edu or call 678.407.5754 and allow at least a 48-hour response time.

Can I switch major before Orientation?

You can switch your major before orientation. If you decide to change your major, please submit a Change of Major/Curriculum form by visiting: MyGGC Registrar's Information and Links. You will need your GGC username and password to access the form.

What is the Grizzly Orientation fee amount and what does that cover?

The orientation fee covers operating costs for Grizzly Orientation, as well as the cost of student materials given to new students that attend orientation. The total fee is $90; $15 non-refundable deposit required when you sign up for an orientation session; the remaining $75 is assessed with your tuition and fees.

Am I required to stay for the entire orientation session?

It is mandatory that students attend the entire orientation session and you may leave once you have completed course registration.

Does tuition need to be paid at orientation?

You will not need to pay tuition the day of orientation. You can find more information and tuition payment deadlines in your orientation portal or you can visit Student Account Website for more information regarding tuition and payment deadlines.

Will I be able to change my orientation date after I complete my reservation?

Changing your orientation session is simple. Log back into your orientation portal and select a new session in the dates section. We ask that you do so at least 3 days prior to your originally scheduled session.

How do I register for Grizzly Orientation?

Once you have been accepted, you will receive an email from our office about creating your orientation portal. After you have accessed your portal, and once dates for your admitted semester are available, you will be able to complete your reservation and choose your orientation date.

What if I miss my scheduled Grizzly Orientation session?

If you miss your original selected date, you will need to select a new one. To select a new date, log back into your orientation portal and click on the dates tab under your reservation. You will be required to attend an orientation session to be able to register for courses.

Is Grizzly Orientation an in-person or virtual event?

We offer both in-person and virtual orientations. Some student types will only be offered an in-person orientation option.

Can I access my virtual orientation session on a mobile device?

You can access your virtual orientation session on a phone or tablet; however, for a better experience and easier course registration process, it is highly encouraged that you use a computer during your session.

Is the Grizzly Orientation session just for students?

While parents and support people are able to review the information housed within a student's orientation portal alongside their student, attendance during the Grizzly Orientation session itself is limited to students only. We will be offering optional information opportunities for parents and support people of GGC students. Please visit the Grizzly Orientation website and monitor your email for updates on these opportunities.
